Why we work for students
Still Open When Your Class Finally Ends
Most dental clinics close at five or six. If you have an evening seminar, placement hours, or a shift after class, that is not much use.
We are open until midnight Monday to Saturday, and Sunday afternoons. You can walk in after an evening class, after work, or on a Saturday when most clinics near campus are shut. No appointment, no referral, no waiting a week for a slot that clashes with a lecture.
If something is genuinely wrong, you should not have to choose between your tooth and your timetable.

| Walk In Dental | A typical clinic near campus | |
| Monday to Friday | 9 AM to midnight | 9 AM to 7 PM |
| Saturday | 9 AM to midnight | Often closed |
| Sunday | 11 AM to 4 PM | Sometimes open |
| Appointment needed | No | Usually yes |

International and other coverage
International Students, CDCP and NIHB
If you are an international or American student at Tyndale, you have two plans, and it helps to know which does what. Your Extended Healthcare Benefits plan through ClaimSecure is the one that covers your teeth, and it works here. myCanadaPlan, the Emergency Medical Plan, covers medical emergencies rather than routine dental care.
Most international students are not eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, which has residency and income rules, so please do not count on it. If you are a domestic student with no other dental insurance and a low income, you may qualify, and we accept it.
We also accept NIHB for First Nations and Inuit students, and we can coordinate your student plan with a parent’s insurance if you have both.

Care in Farsi and English
Tyndale brings students from all over the world, and a large part of that community speaks Farsi. Our whole team does too, so you can describe what hurts and understand your treatment without translating in your head first.

What Our Patients Say
Posted on Google KennyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I do not write reviews a lot because I know people have mixed experience. But for me, this place and the team here have been incredible. My sister had an emergency walk in due to a bad tooth pain, they took no hesitation to examine her condition and turned out it was worse than we thought. They pointed us to the hospital while constantly called us to check up on her condition throughout the process. As we felt such warmth, my family decided to change our current family dental clinic to this place and have been treated with extensive care and amazing services since.Posted on Google Maryam MotamedyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyndale Student Dental Questions
How do I use my Tyndale dental plan at your clinic?
Bring your student card and your ClaimSecure details. We check your coverage, tell you what the plan pays and what you would owe, and we submit the claim for you.
What does the Tyndale student plan cover?
The Extended Healthcare Benefits plan, insured by ClaimSecure, covers checkups, cleanings, X-rays, fillings and extractions up to an annual maximum of roughly $500 per benefit year. Root canals are often partly covered and major work is limited. We confirm your exact benefits first.
Am I automatically enrolled?
Yes. If you are taking two or more courses at Tyndale you are enrolled automatically and the cost is included in your fees. It is mandatory unless you already have equivalent coverage and opt out before the deadline.
Can I really walk in without an appointment?
Yes, seven days a week. Monday to Saturday until midnight, Sunday 11 AM to 4 PM. Call ahead on (647) 931-6696 if you want us to hold a time.
Do you bill ClaimSecure directly?
In most cases yes, once you have registered for your ClaimSecure benefits e-card. You then pay only the part your plan does not cover. Either way you know your cost before we begin.
Does the plan cover braces or Invisalign?
Orthodontics is generally not covered by the standard York student plans. Unlike many clinics we do offer braces and Invisalign here, with payment options, so book a consultation and we will explain the cost clearly.
How do I opt out of the Tyndale plan?
You can opt out online through myStudentPlan if you already have equivalent coverage, for example through a parent or spouse. Deadlines fall in late August for programs starting in August and late September for programs starting in September, so check the current dates on Tyndale’s site before the window closes.
Are international students covered for dental?
Yes. Your Extended Healthcare Benefits plan includes dental and it works here. myCanadaPlan, the Emergency Medical Plan, covers medical emergencies rather than routine dental. Most international students are not eligible for CDCP.
Can I combine my student plan with my parent's insurance?
Yes. We coordinate both to reduce or remove what you pay. Bring both plan details.
Do you have a Farsi speaking dentist?
Yes. Our whole team speaks Farsi as well as English.
Book Before Your Coverage Resets
Your benefit year has a maximum and unused benefits do not carry over. If you have been putting off a cleaning or a filling, now is the time. Walk in any day until midnight, or call and we will hold a time for you.
