Using Your Seneca Student Dental Plan
If you are a full time student at Seneca, you are already enrolled in the SSF Health and Dental Plan. It is compulsory, it was charged with your fees, and it includes dental. The plan is run by the Seneca Student Federation through ACL, and insured by ClaimSecure, so you can use it at any licensed dentist in Canada.
Your certificate number is easy to find: it is the letter N followed by your nine digit Seneca student number. Bring that and your student card, and we take care of the rest.
Bring your student number
Your certificate is N plus your nine digit student number. That is all we need to start.
We check your coverage
We look up your ClaimSecure benefits and what the plan pays.
You know the cost first
We tell you what you will pay before we start. No surprises.
We handle the claim

Finding your ClaimSecure certificate
Your certificate number is the letter N followed by your nine digit Seneca student number.
For example, student number 012345678 becomes N012345678.
Bring it with you, or we will help you find it at the desk.
Why we work for students
Still Open When Your Class Finally Ends
Seneca runs plenty of evening classes, and a lot of students work a shift before or after them. Most dental clinics near campus close at five or six, which is no use to either group.
We are open until midnight Monday to Saturday, and Sunday afternoons. Walk in after a night class, after a shift, or on a Saturday evening. No appointment, no referral, and no waiting a week for a slot that clashes with a lab.
If something is genuinely wrong, you should not have to choose between your tooth and your timetable.

| Walk In Dental | Typical clinic | |
| Monday to Friday | 9 AM to midnight | 9 AM to 5 PM |
| Saturday | 9 AM to midnight | Closed or half day |
| Sunday | 11 AM to 4 PM | Closed |
| Appointment needed | No | Usually yes |

Part time students
Part Time at Seneca? You Are Not Covered, But You May Have Options
Here is something a lot of Seneca students find out the hard way. The SSF Health and Dental Plan is for full time students only. If you are studying part time, you have no dental coverage through Seneca at all, no matter how many years you have been there.
There is a second thing worth knowing. If you are full time, you cannot use the Canadian Dental Care Plan as your reason to opt out of the SSF plan. Seneca does not accept government programs as comparable coverage, so applying for CDCP will not get your fee refunded.
Put those together and it comes out simply. If you are full time, use your SSF plan, it is already paid for. If you are part time and have no other insurance, CDCP may be exactly what you need, and we are a registered CDCP provider.
We also accept NIHB for First Nations and Inuit students, and we can coordinate your student plan with a parent’s or partner’s insurance if you have both.

Full time
Use your SSF plan
You are already enrolled and it is already paid for. CDCP will not get you out of the fee, so use the coverage you have.
Part time
CDCP may be for you
Seneca gives you nothing. If you have no other insurance you may qualify for CDCP, and we accept it here.

Dr. Farah Karimi
Meet Your Dentist
Your care is led by Dr. Farah Karimi, who founded Walk In Dental Clinic and built it around access, which is why we are still open at eleven at night. Alongside her, Dr. Niousha Zerafatjou, Dr. Mehdi Shadaloie, Dr. Mahmood Beheshtifar and Dr. Nastaran Niknamfard see patients through the evening, with hygienists Rose and Mitra Arefinejad.
A student should not have to skip a lecture to see a dentist. That is why we stay open.
- Serving Toronto since 1979
- Five dentists on the team
- Farsi and English
- Gentle with anxious patients

You will be understood
Care in Farsi and English
Seneca brings students from all over the world, and a large part of that community speaks Farsi. Our whole team does too, so you can describe what hurts and understand your treatment without translating in your head first.

Dr. Neusha Zarafar Jou is one the best dentist I’ve ever seen, very kind, patient, compassionate, and experienced. I told her that her brain digitize the teeth and do the work one time fast & perfectly! I’m an engineer who really believes in her skills and vision! The clinic is also very collaborative!Posted on Google![]()

It's not often you hear people saying they had a great experience at the dentist? I did and I would recommend this clinic %100. Every member of this dental team is polite, enthusiastic and perfection oriented. I love how every procedure is explained both before and during your dental work. I recommend the WALK-IN CLINIC to everyone. I am so grateful for the Clinic's care & kindness to me. Respect. Audrey Page

Seneca Student Dental Questions
How do I use my Seneca dental plan at your clinic?
Bring your student card and your certificate number, which is the letter N followed by your nine digit Seneca student number. We check your ClaimSecure coverage, tell you what the plan pays and what you would owe, and submit the claim for you.
What does the Seneca student plan cover?
The SSF Health and Dental Plan, insured by ClaimSecure, covers exams, cleanings, X-rays, fillings and extractions at around 80%, up to an annual maximum of roughly $750 per coverage period. Root canals are often partly covered and major work is limited. We confirm your exact benefits first.
Where do I find my certificate number?
It is the letter N followed by your nine digit Seneca student number. If your student number is 012345678, your certificate is N012345678.
I study part time. Am I covered?
No. The SSF plan is only for full time students, so part time students have no dental coverage through Seneca. If you have no other insurance you may qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, and we accept it. Come in and we will help you check.
Can I opt out using CDCP?
No. Seneca does not accept government programs, including CDCP, as comparable coverage for opting out. To opt out you need proof of private insurance, for example through a parent, a partner or an employer, and you must apply through Alumo within the deadline.
Can I really walk in without an appointment?
Yes, seven days a week. Monday to Saturday until midnight, Sunday 11 AM to 4 PM. Call ahead on (647) 931-6696 if you want us to hold a time.
Do you bill ClaimSecure directly?
In most cases yes, so you pay little or nothing at the visit. Where direct billing is not possible we submit the claim so you are reimbursed quickly. Either way you know your cost before we begin.
When does my coverage end?
Your coverage period runs to August 31, even after classes finish in spring. Unused benefits do not carry over, so book anything you have been putting off before then.
Does the plan cover braces or Invisalign?
Orthodontics is generally not covered. Unlike many clinics we do offer braces and Invisalign here, with payment options.
Do you have a Farsi speaking dentist?
Yes. Our whole team speaks Farsi as well as English.
Use It Before August 31
Your coverage period ends on August 31 and unused benefits do not carry over. If you have been putting off a cleaning or a filling, now is the time. Walk in any day until midnight, or call and we will hold a time for you.
